Xento PHP Dangal Winners and Awards

At Xento, New Year’s kick started with our PHP Dangal contest that proved to be a clash of intellects. A pan India contest that commenced from 16th January and continued till 16th February, it was indeed an opportunity for young PHP developers to showcase their technical acumen. A month long competition had participants from all corners of the country with approximately 1982 participants and with nearly 3000 registrations. Furthermore, PHP Dangal ensured contestants were quizzed at each juncture, narrowing down the numbers, a true challenge at its best – where only an ace player could have kept up. The contest held had two different categories for the experienced and students, giving each of them a fair opportunity to crack that code.

PHP Dangal saw an overwhelming response of participants to compete in a skill-based event. It was an intense 4 weeks long battle that had both experienced and students giving all that they got, to earn a place at the top 5. continue

Shaunak Sontakke receiving 'Coding Centers of Excellence' award for Xento.

It indeed takes a lot of hard work to bring a vision into reality. With Sachin Savale and Shaunak Sontakke in the lead, Xento moved a step forward towards the glory. We feel immense pleasure in announcing yet another achievement of our honors at the Code Gladiator Event. Xento felicitates Mr. Savale and Mr. Sontakke for their splendid efforts in representing our company at the finals and achieving their respective titles.

Sachin Savale, one of the perfect PHP coder in our organisation made to reach the finale of Beat The Leader competition. This event was about competing with other algorithm junkies to write the most perfect code. The evaluation was based upon certain factors including Attempts, Marks, Memory Usage, Time Complexity, Code Size, etc. By presenting the most optimized PHP code, Sachin’s cipher remained unchallenged for last four days of the event. Later, his code lead the championship on the fifth day for his PHP base being most optimized among the codes in JAVA, C, C++, Python, C#, and other languages.

Says Sachin, “Reaching the finals itself is an achievement, till the last day of the competition nobody challenged my PHP base. Xento Code Gladiator Runners-Up 2016

27 May, 2016. Another edition of India’s Biggest Coding Arena “Code Gladiators 2016” wraps in Delhi. The magnificent competition is organised every year by TechGig which attracts the best programming talent in the country. It is basically a month-long coding spectacle with 34 different technology tracks where thousands of companies and lacs of people participate. Xento takes pride in announcing that we are awarded as India’s one of the biggest coding champions by defeating the top talent from across the nation. The Code Gladiator’s India’s Coding Centers Of Excellence Runner-Up Trophy gives testimony to the talent and witness the most perplexing PHP coders in the company.

The TechGig’s colossal fest consists of online as well as onsite rounds, in which participants join the coding baffle and challenge the techies. Though this competition is well known for being extremely fierce, we as a growing organisation of skilled PHP, JavaScript, C#, .Net, Java and Database Engineers, could make it to the top-5 for maximum participation and code submissions. Programmers at Xento discovered that despite easy scaling of the event, it’s level of difficulty and challenges stands firm for appreciation. Our developers successfully submitted their solutions using different algorithms to complex problems posed during the competition. And smoothly sailing through the sea of hurdles is deeply overwhelming for our organization.

Another Proud Moment..

Category: Awards, Sports Activity

Another proud moment for us when our Volleyball girls team made it to the finals to compete against IGate Patni.

The hardwork & dedication put up by our girls team to reach the finals is commendable especially since all except captain Darshana Tatkar are first time players. They have surely proved the fact that there is no substitution to hardwork.

Our teams’ go getter attitude got them to the final match which was held on the 23rd of March 2013 was an exciting one with both teams fighting for victory. Under Darshana’s guidance the team turned out to be strong opponents to Igate thus giving them a tough time.

Goa Trip (Referral Bonus Scheme)

Category: Awards, Life @ Xento

Deepesh Vijayvargiya…is the fortunate one whose 5 referrals have joined us within a span of 6 months.

Deepesh has proved to be a star who joined us just around 7 months  back & has helped Xento tremendously by referring 5 employees who have been the right fit for Xento.

Deepesh was announced winner during the Annual Event held in Jan 2013 & was handed the reward by none other than our VP (Offshore development) himself, Mr. Dharmesh Shroff. Any guesses for what the reward could have been??? Ok guys, hold your breath…It was a TRIP TO GOA for 2 sponsored by Xento

Xento v/s EQ

Category: Awards, Sports Activity

There was more to our celebration after the Annual Bash. Yes, our rock-stars did it again, and this time it was against EQ.

Winning the toss, our captain Vijay L., decided to bat first. Our openers entered the field, with the determination to break their own record for highest opening partnership. But the pitch had some other things planned. On the very second ball, Rahul M, slipped and fell down while trying to steal a run, injuring his knee, only to see his wickets uprooted by the opponents. It was Shiv next, who fell victim to a slower bouncer, and an easy catch in the leg-side for EQ.
Rishi M. tried to hit a long one on the leg side, but an excellent catch in the deep, sent a warning signal on the Xento line-up. Vijay on the other hand was playing a steady inning, with singles.

Xento v/s LSI

Category: Awards, Sports Activity

So we have done it again. It started auspiciously, with our captain, Vijay L. winning the toss and electing to bat first.
The scorching heat did not mar the confidence of our strong openers, as Rahul M. and Vijay L. went all guns blazing on the LSI bowlers. Their bowlers went totally clueless, as to where and how to ball. Vijay showcased his batting skills, by hitting sixes and fours all over the park, where Rahul supported by staying strong on the other end. It was an enthralling showcase of fours and sixes and a brilliant display of running between the wickets, from our determined openers.
We received the first blow from LSI on 63 runs opening partnership, when Rahul got caught behind( 22 off 20 balls ).  Vijay, on the other hand was on the verge of scoring his maiden 50. With a strong hit towards long on, Vijay got to his marvellous and well-deserved 50, with a comfortable couple.

Winning Moment

It’s been a while and everyone must be wondering about the next update, well our Cricket Team (the mighty wolves) too were eagerly waiting for their turn to take on another challenge; along came the chance with a not so cold Sunday Morning i.e on the 30th of December, 2012, when they went one on one against JOSH.

The Toss was Won by our Captain Vijay L on this occasion and we elected to Bat first. The innings started with a wicket of the first over and a cold breeze flowing through the team which looked worried all of a sudden; but the Wall (we are not talking about Rahul Dravid here, but of course the Wall of Xento Rishi Masurkar) walked in with confidence and it reflected in his shot of the very first ball which was a perfectly timed shot on the rise.
