Xento v/s EQ

There was more to our celebration after the Annual Bash. Yes, our rock-stars did it again, and this time it was against EQ.

Winning the toss, our captain Vijay L., decided to bat first. Our openers entered the field, with the determination to break their own record for highest opening partnership. But the pitch had some other things planned. On the very second ball, Rahul M, slipped and fell down while trying to steal a run, injuring his knee, only to see his wickets uprooted by the opponents. It was Shiv next, who fell victim to a slower bouncer, and an easy catch in the leg-side for EQ.
Rishi M. tried to hit a long one on the leg side, but an excellent catch in the deep, sent a warning signal on the Xento line-up. Vijay on the other hand was playing a steady inning, with singles.

So we have done it again. It started auspiciously, with our captain, Vijay L. winning the toss and electing to bat first.

Their bowlers went totally clueless, as to where and how to ball. Vijay showcased his batting skills, by hitting sixes and fours all over the park, where Rahul supported by staying strong on the other end. It was an enthralling showcase of fours and sixes and a brilliant display of running between the wickets, from our determined openers.
We received the first blow from LSI on 63 runs opening partnership, when Rahul got caught behind( 22 off 20 balls ).  Vijay, on the other hand was on the verge of scoring his maiden 50. With a strong hit towards long on, Vijay got to his marvellous and well-deserved 50, with a comfortable couple.
