The More Good Foundation
The More Good Foundation is committed in helping faithful Mormons share their stories with the world, and then making those stories quickly and easily accessible to the world.
The More Good Foundation had many static HTML websites and it was a tedious task to manage all these static websites, hence we undertook the task of converting all these static sites to dynamic sites using WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS). In this course of time 43 websites were successfully migrated from Dreamweaver template sites to WordPress.
Why WordPress ?
WordPress was used because it is very user friendly, It is easy to integrate with the blog and one can use tons of great themes & templates out of it.
How the existing website was migrated?
- Using MovableType format
- Migration of Text and images
- Copying template code to the theme
- Engineered a system of redirects from old URLs to the new URLs so that the incoming links are not broken.
Client Speaks:
"Xento Systems finished the large project of migrating 43 static HTML websites to WordPress-powered, database-backed dynamic sites. They migrated text, images, and site templates. They engineered a system of redirects from the old URLs to the new URLs so incoming links will not break. One site, Mormoni.com, was particularly difficult to migrate to WordPress because it did not have a regular template. Xento Systems implemented a new design for this website, with which we are all very pleased. Congratulations to Xento Systems on a job very well done."
